Beretta 84 Cheetah

The Beretta Cheetah .380 pistols offer all the advantages that make their big brother the standard against which all other pistols are judged. The open slide design increases reliability and virtually eliminates jams and stovepiping.

The frame is made from an aluminum alloy with the strength and durability of steel. Safety is assured through the firing pin block and trigger bar disconnect that disengages the trigger from the sear mechanism when the safety is on. Features like these, and built-in reliability and quality that come standard with every Beretta, make the Cheetah a natural for personal defense and an ideal back-up gun for law enforcement professionals.

The Model 84FS Cheetah is a .380 caliber double-action pistol with all of the exceptional safety features you’ve come to expect from a Beretta. The manual safety with hammer decocking device lowers the hammer and interrupts the connection between trigger, hammer and sear. The pistol cannot be fired until the trigger is pulled. Even if the pistol is dropped, an internal firing pin blocking device prevents accidental discharge. The magazine release is reversible and allows fast exchange of the staggered magazine. The enlarged combat trigger guard provides support for a two-handed hold or use with gloves. The 84FS Cheetah features a corrosion-resistant anodized alloy frame with matte black finish and chromium-plated bore. A nickel-finished version of the 84FS Cheetah is available with plastic or wood grips.

The Model 85FS Cheetah has all of the basic Model 84FS features. With its straight-line, 8 round magazine, the pistol has a slimmer profile for greater concealability when used as a back-up gun or for those with small hands. The 85FS Cheetah is available with a nickel finish and plastic or wood grips.

The Model 83FS Cheetah is identical to the 85FS model but with a longer, 4-inch barrel and a straight line, 7 round magazine.

The Model 86FS Cheetah is the only .380 on the market that features a convenient tip-up barrel. This unique Beretta feature permits easy, direct chamber loading and unloading without operating the slide. The fixed barrel of the Model 86FS Cheetah is attached directly to the frame and ensures outstanding accuracy. The matte black finish is embellished with the distinctive gold trigger and walnut grips.

The Model 87 Cheetah is a .22LR version that’s perfect for plinking and inexpensive target practice. It has a single-action, blow-back design offering unsurpassed reliability and accuracy in a .22 cal. pistol. The Model 87 Cheetah is also available in a long barrel version.
